Acquired
curvature or Peyronie’s disease
It is a
disease, which produces curvatures or changes in the
penis anatomy and there is loss of the penetration
capacity and erection. The more frequent symptoms
are: pain in the erection, curvature of penis, loss
of erection quality, shortening and diminishing of
the thickness of penis, notkeeping of erection and
one or several small nodules (tumors) which are
perceived under the skin of the penis. Sometimes the
flow of blood of the penis can be restricted by
scars causing the gland to remain completely soft.
When this happens it is either difficult of
impossible to obtain a penetration. It is common
that the Peyronie’s disease affect men from 20 to
80 years old. It is a pathology that can be
associated to diabetes or to a consequence of
urethral probes, traumatisms, penile fractures, and
more recently it has been observed in young men
under high levels of stress.
